Frank Harary's structural balance theory states that a signed graph is balanced if and only if every cycle contains an even number of negative edges. When a team's relationship graph becomes frustrated (unbalanced), it predicts conflict escalation.
The Sign Graph Engine applies this to team dynamics: positive edges represent trust/alignment, negative edges represent friction/misalignment. The frustration index l(Σ) measures how far the team is from structural balance.
When l(Σ) exceeds threshold, the engine triggers formation interventions:
MEDIUM severity: DIETER confrontation session scheduled within 48 hours. Direct ethical confrontation between frustrated pair.
LOW severity: RECA coaching sufficient. Advisory monitoring with 24–72 hour observation window.
HIGH severity: Immediate DIETER + Sovereign Loop intervention. Team restructuring evaluation.

GCFS contract teams. Monitor inter-agency coordination, detect friction between field operators before it impacts mission outcomes. NET-30 invoice compatible.
CFL-licensed teams. Track formation depth across departments. Identify structural imbalances before they manifest as turnover or project failure.
DOJ ECM field teams. Real-time coherence monitoring for high-stress operations. DIETER sessions triggered automatically when team balance degrades.
